Concussion Management
What is a concussion?
A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury caused by rapid movement such as a blow, bump, or jolt to the head, face, neck or body. This sudden movement causes the brain to move rapidly back and forth, causing brain tissue to become damaged. The symptoms experienced after a concussion result from the metabolic and chemical change to the nerve cells in the brain.
